This tutorial shows how to paint a deep green armor, which can be used to paint a Space Marine from the Salamanders chapter, using the Game Color range.<\/p>\n\n

For this tutorial, a Desolator Space Marine <\/a>(Warhammer 40,000) from Games Workshop was used.<\/p>\n\n

Let’s get started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tools used<\/h2>\n\n

As I get questions about the tools or products used, I will mention what was used to paint this miniature.<\/p>\n\n

First of all, for the airbrush phase, I used my Iwata Hi-Line, undoubtedly the best airbrush I have ever tried.<\/p>\n\n

For the armor outlining phase, I used Artis Opus M Series brush no. 0.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n

For the rest of the details, I have used size 2 for base colors, size 0 for some outlines and number 00 for small details<\/a> such as lenses.<\/p>\n\n

And of course, in the whole brush painting process I used the Red Grass Creative<\/a> wet palette (large size).<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Primer<\/h2>\n\n

The miniature is primed in black, using Hobby Paint Black<\/a> 28.012 or Black Primer <\/a>70.602.<\/p>\n\n

Airbrush<\/h2>\n\n

A mixture of Sick Green<\/a> 72.029 and Dark Green<\/a> 72.028 is mixed and airbrushed all over the miniature. The ratio is 4 drops of Sick Green to 3 drops of Dark Green.<\/p>\n\n

Use Scorpy Green<\/a> 72.032 with an airbrush for the first highlights, leaving all the shaded areas in the previous color.<\/p>\n\n

Paint the areas of maximum light with Bile Green<\/a> 72.122, reducing the size of the surface covered.<\/p>\n\n

Pintureando Wash Recipe<\/h2>\n\n

Using a mixture of 2 drops of Wash Black <\/a>73.201, 1 drop of Xpress Color Lizard Green<\/a> 72.418, 12 drops of Thinner Medium<\/a> 70.524, 8 drops of Airbrush Flow Improver<\/a> 71.362 and 2 drops of water, apply a wash with a brush all over the miniature. Use a brush moistened with Airbrush Flow Improver to remove the wash from the areas of maximum light, leaving it in the recesses of the armor.<\/p>\n\n

The whole armor is outlined with Scorpy Green<\/a> 72.032.<\/p>\n\n

The areas of maximum light and the edges of the armor are outlined with a mixture of Scorpy Green<\/a> 72.032 and Bile Green<\/a> 72.122 in equal parts.<\/p>\n\n

To finish the outline work and create more contrast, paint small dots of light on the edges with Bile Green<\/a> 72.122.<\/p>\n\n

To better show the final result, the remaining parts will be painted using Black<\/a> 72.051.<\/p>\n\n

Finally, we paint the rest of the miniature.<\/p>\n\n
