In this tutorial we will show how to paint turquoise armor with some battle damage quickly and easily. For this we will use an ogre<\/strong> of the Mortian<\/a> company, which are a fantastic alternative to the Ogryns of the Astra Militarum for Warhammer 40k<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s Start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Primer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To begin, a black primer<\/strong> will be used. Surface Primer Black<\/a> 70.602 can be used both with a brush and with an airbrush or, otherwise, use directly Hobby Paint Spray Black<\/a>28.012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbrush<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A mixture of Mecha Color Turquoise<\/strong> 69.023 and a little Model Air Black<\/strong><\/a> 71.057 is made and applied throughout the armor using the airbrush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mecha Color Turquoise<\/strong> 69.023 is applied using an airbrush, this time focusing on the areas of maximum light<\/strong>, leaving the recesses and lower areas unpainted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edge Highlighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For all this process, the use of a wet palette is highly recommended. In my case I use the RedGrassGames<\/a>wet palette, which I consider to be the best on the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, for this edge highlighting I have used the 00 size brush by RedGrassGames<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the brush, edge highlight the entire armor<\/strong>, with a mixture of Model Color Turquoise<\/a> 70.966 and Model Color Blue Green 70.808.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another edge highlighting is done, but this time focusing only on the corners and edges, using a mixture of Model Color Blue Green<\/a> 70.808 and Model Color Sky Blue<\/a> 70.961.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast battle damage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create some battle damage quickly and easily, some scratch effects are painted using a dark brown. In this case I have used a mixture of Model Color German Camouflage Black Brown<\/a> 70.822 and Model Color Black<\/a> 70.950.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To finish with the armor, Model Color Sky Blue<\/a> 70.961 is applied very carefully at these points, to generate a damage effect on the armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here another example of Mortian Ogre<\/strong> with the armor finished:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here you can see the final result of these 2 Mortian ogres<\/a> . I think they are fantastic ogryns for a Kill Team or Astra Militarum army. Do not you think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
