This tutorial shows how to paint a yellow armor <\/strong>in a few simple steps. This tutorial can be used to paint yellow armor of all kinds, such as Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Fists space marines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have used the “Heavy Prime Strikers” figure from PuppetsWar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lets start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1. The figure is primed with Surface Primer Gray<\/a> 70.601 or Hobby Paint Spray Gray<\/a> 28.011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using an airbrush, apply 2 thin coats of Game Air Orange Fire<\/a> 72.708.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

To create a slight gradient, apply Game Air Hot Orange<\/a> 72.709 to the shadow areas, using the airbrush once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Game Air Dead White<\/a> 72.701 is airbrushed on the upper areas of the armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The areas previously painted white are covered with Game Air Moon Yellow<\/a> 72.705.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Apply a general wash with the following mixture: 2 drops of Game Color Sepia Wash<\/a> 73.200, 3 drops of Thinner Medium<\/a> 70.524 and 4 drops of Flow Improver<\/a> 71.362. The wash is then removed from the peak lighting areas with Flow Improver, so that it only settles in the recesses of the armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The armor is outlined using Model Color Lemon Yellow<\/a> 70.952. If a more intense yellow is desired, a preliminary outline can be made with Model Color White<\/a> 70.951.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corners\/vertices of the armor are enhanced using a mixture of Model Color Ice Yellow<\/a> 70.858 and Model Color White<\/a> 70.951.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this task, I used the number 0 brush from the Artis Opus M Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest of the details are painted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally and in case you want to create battle damage quickly, make small chips with a brush or sponge, using Model Color German Camouflage Black Brown<\/a> 70.822. Then paint the lower area of all the brown chips, using Model Color Ice Yellow<\/a> 70.858 and Model Color White<\/a> 70.951 to add volume. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
