This tutorial shows you how to paint wear and tear effects and battle damage easily<\/strong> on a Space Marine from The Horus Heresy.<\/p>\n\n

For this tutorial we have used an MKVI Tactical Space Marine<\/a> (Warhammer 30k) from Games Workshop.<\/p>\n\n

Note: <\/strong>This tutorial is a continuation of “Painting a Horus Hereshy Space Marine”<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Lets start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create small chips with a sponge and Vallejo Environment Rust Texture 73.821.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

You can also apply scratches with a brush using Model Color German Camouflage Black Brown 70.822.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Paint the lower part of the chips with a mixture of Game Color Verdigris<\/a> 72.096 and Game Color Aquamarine<\/a> 72.119.<\/p>\n\n

Paint small dots of Game Color Verdigris<\/a> 72.096 on some areas of the chips to give more depth to the battle damage.<\/p>\n\n

In the gray areas, the same process is repeated with Game Color Neutral Grey<\/a> 72.050 and Game Color Dead White<\/a> 72.001.<\/p>\n\n

Dry brush Vallejo Pigments Dark Red Ochre<\/a> 73.107 on some parts of the armor, paying special attention to the lower areas.<\/p>\n\n
