In this second part, we will see <strong>how to paint step by step these great bases.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll show you <strong>2 ways to paint these bases<\/strong>. Firstly a <strong>very fast technique<\/strong> and then another <strong>slightly more elaborate way<\/strong>,so that you can see different possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s Start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Primer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First <strong>we will print the custom base in black.<\/strong> This time I used <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301220&amp;controller=product\">surface primer black.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_163118-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2857\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_163118-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_163118-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_163118.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fast way<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll start with the fast technique. We&#8217;ll paint the whole base using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300856&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Neutral Grey.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_213828-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2860\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_213828-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_213828-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_213828.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once it is painted, we will only <strong>apply different washes on it,<\/strong>creating different types of dirt and quick weathering effects. Here you can see an example where I have used different washes<a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040303633&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">(black wash,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301210&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">umber wash,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301208&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">sepia wash<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301212&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">green wash).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_221521-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2862\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_221521-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_221521-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_221521.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once dry, we will make a <strong>dry brush<\/strong> using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300913&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Cold Grey<\/a>, and then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300912&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">StoneWall Grey<\/a> in the corners, to create more contrast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_222048-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2864\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_222048-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_222048-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_222048.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To finish these bases, we can<strong> reapply other washes more lightly<\/strong> (in this example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301210&amp;controller=product\">umber wash,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301208&amp;controller=product\">sepia wash<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301212&amp;controller=product\">green wash).<\/a> And we&#8217;d have the T&#8217;au bases finished! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Very easy, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_224502-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2866\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_224502-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_224502-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200601_224502.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More elaborate technique<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we will see <strong>another way to paint these bases,<\/strong>which will be somewhat more elaborate, but also <strong>much more fun and attractive.<\/strong> The idea for this type of bases was obtained from a very interesting video by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fj2dJEQ3x_c&amp;feature=youtu.be\" class=\"aioseop-link\">James Wappel.<\/a> If you have any doubts about how I apply colors, you can watch that video to get an idea, although I have decided to use bluish colors instead of the greens that he uses in the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all this process, <strong>I will use 3 colors<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300884&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">(Magic Blue,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300825&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Sky Blue<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300815&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">White),<\/a>which I will apply individually at each step. In addition, I will mix all of them with a little <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040300667&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Blue Fluor color.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this task I recommend using a wet palette, as we will be using different colors and mixing them with the Fluor. In my case I use the Wet Palette from <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.redgrassgames.com\/everlasting-wet-palette\/\">RedGrassGames.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124823-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2870\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124823-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124823-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124823.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll start by painting the nooks and crannies of the stand with <strong>Magic Blue<\/strong> (which as I said earlier, we&#8217;ll mix with a little Blue Fluor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This process is easier than you might think,<\/strong>since you can paint quickly without worrying too much about not getting out, because once you&#8217;ve painted an area of the base (if the paint is properly diluted, thats why I recommend using a wet palette), <strong>you can swipe over and you will remove all the excess paint,<\/strong> so the color will stay inside the nooks and crannies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we see the result once this first color is applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_163000-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2872\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_163000-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_163000-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_163000.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We will continue with the process, this time applying <strong>Sky Blue<\/strong> (mixing with a little blue fluor). We will perform exactly the same as in the previous step, but painting a smaller area, since <strong>our goal will be to make a lighting effect, like the ground emanating some kind of power.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_211715-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2875\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_211715-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_211715-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_211715.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To end with this effect, we will apply <strong>White with a pinch of Blue Fluor.<\/strong> This time we will focus on applying it in the most central nooks and crannies (or in the area where we have chosen that will emanate a high brightness from our base).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is more than likely that in these steps, we have come out of the nooks and crannies, or as we passed the finger to remove the paint, it did not look as good as we would like. Therefore, <strong>now will be the time to use pure black to tweak some imperfections<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_214803-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_214803-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_214803-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_214803.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To finish the painting process, we will apply a dry brush of <strong>Cold Grey<\/strong> and later <strong>StoneWall Grey,<\/strong>in the same way that I explained in the &#8220;quick technique&#8221; of this tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_220145-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2882\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_220145-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_220145-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_220145.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And here we have the painting of these custom bases finished:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_221140-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2884\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_221140-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_221140-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200608_221140.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Base completion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we just need to place those custom rocks in our circular bases. First of all, I have placed some<strong> cork bits to simulate some small stones.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterwards, I glue them on circular bases of Games Workshop, and applied <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frikland.com\/tienda\/index.php?id_product=3040301233&amp;controller=product\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Brown Earth.<\/a> Alternatively, you can also use PVA glue, sand, and then paint it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200606_181416-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2891\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200606_181416-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200606_181416-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200606_181416.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also see that I have added <strong>some pieces of cork or rubber,<\/strong>which will simulate small <strong>stones.<\/strong> We paint the stones, first in black, then Gray, we apply a wash and then a dry brush using a light gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, it&#8217;s time to apply some <strong>Static Grass Flock.<\/strong> To do this, we will apply some <strong>PVA glue diluted with water<\/strong>, as we can see below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2893\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_115540.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the grass, I&#8217;ve made a mix of <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.greenstuffworld.com\/es\/cesped-electrostatico\/97-cesped-electrostatico-flock-nylon-realistic-green-3mm-280ml.html\">realistic green Static Grass Flock<\/a> and <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.greenstuffworld.com\/es\/cesped-electrostatico\/98-cesped-electrostatico-flock-nylon-verde-oscuro-3mm-280ml.html\">dark green Static Grass Flock <\/a>from Green Stuff World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200607_120148-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once its dry, remove the excess with a thick brush, and this will be the result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124910-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2897\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124910-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pintureando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_20200607_124910-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To finish with this base, <strong>let&#8217;s give it an extra touch by adding some tufts and leafs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see below, I&#8217;ve added the following GSW products:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenstuffworld.com\/es\/matas-cesped\/1222-matas-cesped-hiervas-penachos-tufts-2mm-verde-realista.html\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Grass TUFTS &#8211; Realistic green<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenstuffworld.com\/es\/matas-arbustos\/323-matas-arbustos-autoadhesivas-6mm-verde-claro.html\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Shrubs TUFTS &#8211; LIGHT GREEN<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;
