In this tutorial we will see how to paint the Orange armor of a XV8 Crisis Battlesuit T’au, all in a simple and fast way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s Start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Primer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, the head is separated from the rest of the body to be able to paint the whole set more comfortably. A primer is applied, using Hobby Paint Spray Sun Yellow 28.018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shadows \/ Shades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In all the lower areas, we will simulate shadows using Game Air Hot Orange 72,709<\/a> . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see in the photos, I use an airbrush booth<\/strong> , which includes an extractor so that way the suspended paint does not spread throughout the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edge Highlighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We’ll highlight this orange armor in 2 steps<\/strong> . First, Game Air Dead White<\/a> 72.701 is applied mixed with a littleGame Air Moon Yellow<\/a> 72.705. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight is finished using very dilutedGame Air Moon Yellow<\/a> 72.705 It will be airbrushed only over the white paint from the previous step<\/strong>, achieving an intense yellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Game Wash Umber Wash 73.203<\/a> is applied in all the nooks and crannies<\/strong> of the armor, applying it carefully with the brush. The wash can be mixed with a little Model Color German C. Black Brown 70.822<\/a> to obtain an opaque wash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edge Highlighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To finish with the armor, an edge highlighting is done using Model Color Ice Yellow<\/a> 70.858. A pinch of Model Color White 70.951<\/a> can be added to the mix to increase the intensity in some spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
