In the previous tutorial I showed you how we could create these lava bases quickly. In this second tutorial we will see how to paint them easily
As I told you in the previous tutorial, these bases are ideal for use, for example, as bases for Salamanders (warhammer 40k space marine chapter).
That said… Let’s start with the tutorial on how to paint lava or volcanic bases!
Contenido
Primer
A black primer is applied, using Hobby Paint Spray black(28.012) or Surface Primer black (70.602).

Dry brush
A dry brush is made using Neutral Grey Model Color (70.992), preferably with a flat brush (PM05 Vallejo model).

Dead White (72,701)
The airbrush will be used from now on. Firstly, a first coat ofDead White (72.701) is applied.

Red RLM23 (71,003)
Red RLM23 (71.003) is applied to all the areas closest to the rocks. Part of the rocks are painted too.

Orange Fire (72,708)
We continue with Orange Fire(72.708), covering the rest of the surface, except for the small balls of bubbling lava.

Moon Yellow (72,705)
The small bubbling balls are painted using Moon Yellow (72.705)

Edge of the bases
The base is finished by painting the edges, using Black Model Color (70.950)
