Njal Stormcaller – The storm lord of Fenris

Today I bring you a very special miniature: Njal Stormcaller, the most powerful Runelord of the Space Wolves. A figure full of history in the lore of Warhammer 40.000 and now comes with a spectacular redesign.

I want to start by thanking Games Workshop for sending me this miniature before its release. It has been a real pleasure to be able to paint it with time and love to share it with you.

A tribute to Fenris

From the first glance, this new version of Njal imposes. His solemn pose, the staff crowned by an animal skull, the raven flying over his shoulder, the cape in the wind… everything conveys the runic power and the wild connection with the elements that define him.

I wanted to respect his classic aesthetics, but enhancing some contrasts to reinforce his presence. The intense blue of the armor combines with warm tones in the face, beard and golden details, while the purple of the cape adds an unexpected counterpoint, giving it a mystical and noble air.

How to paint battle damage easily on Primaris Repulsor tank

This tutorial shows how to paint some effects, weathering and battle damage on a futuristic tank, to make a sci-fi vehicle look impressive on the battlefield. A Warhammer 40k Primaris Repulsor tank has been used for this example, adding some extra bit customizations for Space Wolves from the Spellcrow company.

This tank was published in White Dwarf magazine in December 2020 (# 459) , which was an honor for me.
